UPPSC LOWER PCS

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Lower Subordinate Services Exam, commonly known as the Lower PCS Exam, is a state-level competitive examination aimed at recruiting candidates for various subordinate administrative and non-gazetted positions in the Uttar Pradesh government. It provides a pathway for individuals aspiring to serve the state in essential administrative and operational capacities.

Key Features of the Exam

  • Purpose: The exam selects candidates for positions such as Assistant Development Officer, Marketing Inspector, Supply Inspector, Revenue Inspector, and similar roles.

  • Structure: The selection process typically includes two stages:Preliminary Exam - A screening test with objective-type questions.
    Main Exam - A descriptive test to evaluate in-depth knowledge and writing skills. In some cases, an Interview stage may also be included.

  • Syllabus: It covers a broad range of topics like General Studies, General Hindi, Arithmetic, and topics relevant to the applied post.

The Lower PCS Exam is less competitive than the UPPSC PCS exam but still demands thorough preparation due to the wide syllabus and the large number of candidates who apply.
